WE ARE IN LOVE: SONG JI-HYO CAUGHT A FISH FROM A FROZEN LAKE IN ROVANIEMI, LAPLAND, FINLAND
Filming for We Are in Love in Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland, Finland, Song Ji-hyo and Chen Bolin tried their hand at ice fishing on a frozen lake. Even locals are used to coming home empty handed from ice fishing trips, but not the famous two: Song Ji-hyo caught a fish!
The couple arrived on lake Lehtojärvi through white, snow-clad forests driving a team of husky dogs. While sitting on the frozen lake ice fishing, they spotted a character approaching them from a distance. Pulled by a reindeer and accompanied by an elf, Santa Claus came to greet Chen Bolin and Song Ji-hyo.
Pure Nature and Wide Open Spaces
Rovaniemi is the Official Hometown of Santa Claus, where he can be visited every single day of the year. Chen Bolin and song Ji-hyo were lucky enough to get a visit from Santa Claus himself, and enjoy snacks and beverages by a campfire with Rovaniemi’s most famous citizen.
The couple marvelled at the wide open spaces and the purity of nature in Rovaniemi, while breathing fresh and crisp winter air, some of the cleanest in the world. Besides husky tours and ice fishing, typical winter activities in Rovaniemi include reindeer rides, Aurora Borealis hunting, snowshoeing and visiting hotels and restaurants made entirely out of snow and ice.
Santa Claus Village Visitors: “Bobo”, “Momo” and President Xi
Chen Bolin and Song Ji-hyo visited Santa Claus Village, Rovaniemi’s world-famous tourist attraction, where Santa Claus can be visited every day of the year. Santa Claus Village lies on the Arctic Circle, which “Bobo” and “Momo” ceremonially crossed and entered the arctic area.
Notable Chinese people, who have visited Santa Claus in his official hometown Rovaniemi are President Xi Jinping, television host Meng Fei and pop star Lin Yilun.
